Fri29Jan

Fort Lauderdale — Embarkation

Board the Disney Dream at Port Everglades, explore the ship, find Stateroom 2006, and be on deck for the sail-away celebration as you leave Florida behind. Tip: arrive with your boarding documents and photo ID/passport ready, and keep medications and swimsuits in your carry-on — checked bags can arrive at your stateroom later in the afternoon.

Sat30Jan

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

Disney's island destination on Eleuthera, Bahamas — a beach day built around Bahamian art, music, and nature. Expect family beaches, a water play area, local-inspired food included ashore, and cultural pavilion experiences. Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and your Key to the World card.

Nassau, Bahamas

Your port day in the Bahamian capital. Stay flexible: wander Bay Street and the Straw Market, book a beach or snorkel excursion, visit Atlantis on Paradise Island, or enjoy a quieter ship while many guests are ashore. Be back aboard well before all-aboard time — the ship sails whether or not everyone is back.

Fort Lauderdale — Welcome home

Breakfast on board, then disembark at Port Everglades. Keep your customs documents handy and allow plenty of buffer before any flight home — Courtney generally recommends not booking a flight before midday after a cruise.

On board the Disney Dream

A few favorites to look forward to — no planning required, Courtney and the Navigator app will guide the rest once you're aboard.

Dining

Seating: 8:15 PM

You'll be seated for dinner at one of our 3 fine restaurants each night of your cruise. You've been assigned the following seating time: 8:15 PM (subject to change by 15 minutes). You'll rotate through the Dream's three themed main restaurants — Animator's Palate, Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace — with the same serving team each night.

Entertainment

Broadway-style shows

Live theatre in the Walt Disney Theatre, deck parties, movies, and character meet-and-greets throughout the sailing.

Just for fun

AquaDuck & deck time

The AquaDuck water coaster, pools, and plenty of deck chairs. Adults can also slip away to the Quiet Cove area and lounges in the evening.

Excursions — Disney Port Adventures

Port Adventures are Disney Cruise Line's shore excursions. They're completely optional — the beach day at Lookout Cay is included either way — but if you'd like to add something extra, here's when and how.

No excursion is required. There's plenty to enjoy at both ports without adding any cost. At Lookout Cay, the beaches, water play, cultural experiences, and island lunch are all included with your cruise. In Nassau, you can explore on your own, wander Bay Street and the Straw Market, or simply enjoy a quieter ship while many guests are ashore. Paid Port Adventures are only if you want them — you'll have a great port day either way.

When you can book

Opens Sun, Nov 15, 2026

As first-time Disney cruisers, your Port Adventures booking window opens 75 days before sailing at midnight Eastern (11 p.m. Central on Sat, Nov 14). Your cruise must be paid in full first — your final payment is due Oct 31, so you're all set as long as that's in. Book early once the window opens: popular excursions do fill up.

Lookout Cay — Sat, Jan 30

Beach day + optional add-ons

The beach day itself — sand, water play, and island food — is included. Paid add-ons include snorkeling trips, bike rentals and island biking tours, kayaking, and nature and cultural tours of Eleuthera.

Estimated cost: Rentals are the budget pick — about $15 for a bike and about $34 for snorkel gear. Most guided tours average about $85–$110 per adult (ages 10+) and $75–$90 per child — for example, guided snorkel-by-boat and bike-and-kayak tours are around $99–$109 per adult.

Nassau — Sun, Jan 31

Classic port-day picks

Typical options include snorkeling tours, glass-bottom boat rides, stingray encounters, Jeep tours, and beach breaks. Some boat and adventure tours have age or height minimums, so check each one against Emily (11) and Liam (6) before booking.

Estimated cost: Most tours average about $45–$95 per adult and $30–$80 per child — for example, a glass-bottom boat tour is around $43 per adult / $28 per child, and a snorkel-and-beach adventure is around $93 per adult / $77 per child.

Estimated budget — for planning only

Plan on roughly $75–$100 per person, per excursion

As a rough average across both ports, most Port Adventures run about $75–$100 per adult. For your family of four — Matthew, Desire, and Emily (11, priced at the adult 10+ rate on most tours) plus Liam (6, at the child rate) — one paid excursion typically works out to about $250–$375 total, and less for short tours or rentals. Premium options like private tours, buggy tours, and Atlantis experiences cost considerably more. These are estimates based on recently published Disney Port Adventures pricing, not a quote for your sailing — the exact list and prices for Jan 29–Feb 1, 2027 will appear in your Disney Cruise Line account and the Navigator app when your booking window opens on Nov 15, 2026.

Book in your Disney Cruise Line account or the Navigator app once your window opens — the exact list and prices for your sailing appear there. Not sure which ones fit your family? Ask Courtney and she'll help you pick.
